 1st São Carlos Advanced School on Materials Science & Engineering (SanCAS-MSE)

The Graduate Program on Materials Science & Engineering (PPG-CEM) of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) is organizing the 1st São Carlos Advanced School on Materials Science & Engineering (SanCAS-MSE) to be held at UFSCar, São Carlos, Brazil, from March 25 to 31, 2012. The 1st SanCAS-MSE is financially supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation - FAPESP (Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo) and is addressed to graduate students who are pursuing a Master or PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) in graduate programs all over the world.

The main purpose of the 1st SanCAS-MSE is to convey to the participants an updated overview about the recent scientific and technological advances on MSE. The program of the 1st SanCAS-MSE has been planned to cover important topics relating the processing, properties and applications in ceramics, glasses, metals, polymers and composites. All the lectures will be given by invited speakers who are recognized worldwide by their scientific contributions in those fields of MSE.
