Professor from DEMa/PPGCEM elected president of the Brazilian Polymer Association

Professor Leonardo Bresciani Canto, from DEMa/PPGCEM, has been elected president of the Brazilian Polymer Association (ABPol) for the 2024-2025 term. ABPol is a national non-profit civil society organization that has been operating for 35 years, promoting collaboration between educational and research institutions and companies in the development of the polymer sector.

Professor Leonardo Bresciani Canto, from the Department of Materials Engineering (DEMa) and the Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (PPGCEM), has been elected president of the Brazilian Polymer Association (ABPol) for the 2024-2025 term. ABPol is a national non-profit civil society organization that has been operating for 35 years, promoting collaboration between educational and research institutions and companies in the development of the polymer sector. ABPol is responsible, among other activities, for organizing the Brazilian Polymer Congress (CBPol) and the journal Polymer Science and Technology. The appointment will take place during the opening ceremony of the 17th CBPol, which will be held from October 29 to November 2, 2023 at the Expoville Convention
and Exhibition Center in Joinville, SC.
