PhD student at PPGCEM is invited to the editorial board of Materials Today Communications

David Domingos Soares da Silva, PhD student at PPGCEM/UFSCar, working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Claudemiro Bolfarini and Co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Francisco Coury, received an invitation to join the Editorial Board of the Materials Today Communications, traditional Journal of the Elsevier group.

David D. S. Silva, PhD student, is currently working on the thesis project entitled “Design, production and advanced characterization of high toughness and corrosion resistant Fe-rich multi-principal element CoCrFeMnNi alloys”, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Claudemiro Bolfarini and Co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Francisco Coury, received an invitation to join the Editorial Board of the Materials Today Communications, traditional Journal of the Elsevier group (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/materials-today-communications).
Part of the Materials Today family, Materials Today Communications offers authors rigorous peer review, rapid decisions, and high visibility. The editors welcome comprehensive articles, short communications and reviews on the different areas of materials science and engineering.
“Being invited to the editorial board is an honor. A recognition of the technical and scientific capacity of his work. It enhances the curriculum of any researcher. On the other hand, it generates serious commitments. The main one is to carry out the function, when requested, with balance, efficiency and promptness. Furthermore, it is not a paid activity”, points out David Silva.
In addition, David Silva was selected to carry out from February-2023 through February-2024 the doctorate sandwich abroad supported by CNPq (SWE/CNPq) in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MME) at the Colorado School of Mines (Mines), Golden - USA. He will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Michael Kaufman and Prof. Dr. Amy Clarke.
