PhD student of PPGCEM represents Brazil on international competition

Tiago dos Santos Junior, supervised by Prof. Dr. Victor Carlos Pandolfelli, won the national stage of the Young Persons' Lecture Competition in 2019 and represented Brazil in the Young Persons' World Lecture Competition in the same year, in London (UK).

Tiago dos Santos Junior, supervised by Prof. Dr. Victor Carlos Pandolfelli, won the national stage of the Young Persons' Lecture Competition in 2019 and represented Brazil in the Young Persons' World Lecture Competition in the same year, in London (UK). The competition, organised by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), evaluates communicative and scientific skills through lectures given by the candidates on a subject related to the communities represented by the institute. Tiago was also appointed, in 2020, as a Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (MIMMM). His Thesis is entitled "Refractory macroporous ceramics derived from ultrastable particle stabilised foams" and was defended in November 2020.
