Students and professor receive award at the 68th Brazilian Congress of Ceramics

The paper “Evaluation of a residue from aluminum sulfate extraction as an alternative precursor for the production of geopolymers”, authored by Breno P. Bezerra (PhD student at PPGCEM), Gustavo A. Soares (Master's student at PPGCEM), Roseane M. Santos (PhD student at PPGCEM), and Prof. Ana Paula da Luz (DEMa/PPGCEM), was awarded the 3rd Best Paper presented at the 68th Brazilian Ceramic Congress.

         The Brazilian Ceramic Congress (CBC) is the most important event in the field in Brazil, which aims to promote the interaction of the various segments involved with ceramics, contributing to a greater development and dissemination of Brazilian ceramics. This year, the 68th edition of this event was held in Santos, São Paulo, from June 17th to 20th, with the participation of students and researchers from DEMa and PPGCEM.

         The paper “Evaluation of a residue from aluminum sulfate extraction as an alternative precursor for the production of geopolymers”, authored by Breno P. Bezerra (PhD student at PPGCEM-UFSCar), Gustavo A. Soares (Master's student at PPGCEM-UFSCar), Roseane M. Santos (PhD student at PPGCEM-UFSCar), and Prof. Ana Paula da Luz (DEMa/PPGCEM), was awarded the 3rd Best Paper presented at the 68th CBC. The awarded study was presented at the event by Professor Ana Paula.
