Ana Rodrigues Cameirão, a Master’s student of PPGCEM-UFSCar, received the 2nd place award for Best Poster Presentation at the 1st Workshop on X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (WEFERX), held in São Pedro, SP, from September 1st to 5st, 2025.
The award recognizes the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of the poster entitled: “Investigation of Pulsed Laser Activation Mechanisms of Multicomponent Alloys for Hydrogen Storage.”
The research was developed during her master’s studies under the supervision of professors Dr. Guilherme Zepon and Dr. Juliana Mara Pinto de Almeida. It highlights the use of a novel activation method for hydrogen storage alloys known as Pulsed Laser Activation (PLA), developed at the Laboratory of Hydrogen in Metals (LH2M) – UFSCar.
