Professor Victor Pandolfelli from UFSCar–DEMa receives the title of Distinguished Life Member from the World Organization of the Refractory Ceramics Industries.

Professor Victor Carlos Pandolfelli, from the Department of Materials Engineering at UFSCar, received the title of Distinguished Life Member from the Unified International Technical on Refractories Organization (UNITECR), which brings together all companies operating in the field of refractory ceramics.

Professor Victor Carlos Pandolfelli, from the Department of Materials Engineering at UFSCar, received the title of Distinguished Life Member from the Unified International Technical on Refractories Organization (UNITECR), which brings together all companies operating in the field of refractory ceramics. This is the first time the title has been awarded to a university professor from Latin America. The award ceremony took place during the closing dinner of the organization’s congress, held in Cancun, Mexico, from October 27 to 30, 2025. The event brought together more than 700 participants from over 40 countries. Professor Pandolfelli was selected based on his continuous and extensive research in the area of high-temperature ceramics, which has generated more than 600 publications in technical journals, 128 awards, a strong international interaction, and more than 100 master's and doctoral students trained under his supervision.
