Graduate Program in Materials celebrated 40 years looking to the future

The Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (PPGCEM) at UFSCar that was created in 1979 celebrated the 40th anniversary with a look towards the future: in a commemoration ceremony held on last 2019, November 27, in addition to analyzing the results obtained so far, the program focused on the challenges and planning for the future. PPGCEM was the first graduate program in Materials Science and Engineering in Brazil and has been graded with the maximum score by the Brazilian Research Foundation CAPES since its foundation.
